Independence Day Fireworks

The Town of Grand Lake plans on having their annual fireworks display on Tuesday July 4, 2023 after dark.

Independence Day Fireworks

The Town of Grand Lake cordially invites you to relish a 30-minute fireworks extravaganza over the waters of Grand Lake in honor of Independence Day.

Please be mindful that fireworks displays are subject to change due to potential fire bans during the summer and fall months. We will keep this page updated to reflect any alterations.

As part of the festivities, there will be an array of activities around town, including live music at various restaurants, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over Colorado’s largest natural lake.

Here are some tips to ensure you have a fantastic 4th in Grand Lake:

  • Secure lodging well in advance, as many places tend to sell out quickly.
  • The fireworks commence after nightfall, typically closer to 10 pm, so it’s advisable to dress in layers for comfort.
  • The fireworks can be viewed from various locations around town.
  • Exiting Grand Lake after the fireworks can be time-consuming. Numerous venues offer music and food post-show, so plan to linger in town to avoid traffic.
  • If you plan to watch the fireworks from a boat, anticipate potential delays of a couple of hours when disembarking from the lake. Prepare accordingly with provisions.
  • When consuming alcohol, please do so responsibly and ensure that a designated driver is available for your group.

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day celebration in Grand Lake!
