Independence Day Fireworks

Fireworks for July 4th, 2021 have been ordered and the Town of Grand Lake invites you to enjoy a 30 minute display over the water of Grand Lake! Please note fireworks displays are subject to change pending fire bans that may occur in the summer and fall months. This page will be updated to reflect any changes.

Join the Town of Grand Lake for our famous 4th of July Celebration!  There is a multitude of activities around town, like live music throughout the restaurants, and the day culminates with a dazzling fireworks display over Colorado’s largest natural lake.

How to Prepare for a Fun 4th in Grand Lake:

  • Book lodging early, many places are sold out far in advance.
  • Fireworks begin after it is fully dark outside, often closer to 10 pm, so bring layers so you can be dressed accordingly.
  • The fireworks are visible all over town. We suggest hanging out on a local patio, like The Gateway Inn or Cork on the Water.
  • It takes an extended amount of time to exit Grand Lake after the fireworks. Many venues offer music and food after the show. Prepare to spend some time in town to wait out the traffic.
  • If you are watching the fireworks by boat, it can often take a couple hours to get off the lake after the show; plan accordingly with food and drinks.
  • Consume alcohol safely and have a designated driver available for your group!
