Ice Skating - Ice skating in Grand Lake is a delightful winter activity for all ages. The town sets up two charming rinks: the first is located in Town Park near the playground, opening mid-December and free for everyone to enjoy. The second rink is situated on the lake by Gene Stover Park, which opens later in the season once the natural ice is sufficiently frozen. At Gene Stover Park, skaters can take advantage of a warming hut, where complimentary skates are available for use—just remember to return them when you’re finished!

Ice Fishing – The Grand Lake area draws ice fishing fanatics far and wide to drop a line through the frozen surfaces of its three lakes: Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Reservoir and Lake Granby.
